TEXAS signed a bill Monday morning which will move all child support payments onto a card. The card will only be valid for basic necessities such as food, clothing, and health care. Legislators believe the money is too hard to track and the money doesn’t always go to the child’s needs. The plan will help assure both parties that child support payments are being used for the children instead of other expenses. The bill will go into effect January 3rd, 2018.
